¼ Cup Hershey’s Cocoa ¾
Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Vegetable Oil ¾
tsp. Baking Soda
¾ Cup Applesauce ¼
tsp. salt
1 Egg Beaten
1¼ Cups Flour
Optional
Ingredients: ¼ tsp. Cinnamon , ½ Cup chopped nuts
Directions:
In small bowl combine cocoa and oil, stir until smooth.
Add applesauce and egg; blend well
In medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt
and if using Cinnamon.
Stir in apple sauce mixture just until moistened (or you
can add the flour mixture to the apple sauce mixture)
Put Crumb Topping on top
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
Makes 12 Muffins
Crumb Topping
1 T Butte r or Margarine
2 T Cocoa
¼ Cup packed Brown Sugar
2 T Flour
Optional: ¼ Tsp. Cinnamon
Directions:
In small microwaveable bowl, microwave 1 T butter or
margarine on high for 15 seconds or until melted
Add 2 T Cocoa; blend until smooth
Stir ¼ cup packed Brown Sugar and 2 T flour
PUT ON MUFFINS BEFORE PUTTING THEM IN THE OVEN
